Fire and Snow
"We are walking in Thy path and have no aim or hope save the diffusion of Thy fragrance, so that all souls may raise the cry: O God, Guide us to the straight path."
Abdu'l-Baha
Program
Over the last three years, much has been learned about initiating and sustaining core activities. Some of the richest learning has been in the context of neighborhoods, in which friends walk to activities and deep interpersonal bonds have been nurtured. Where neighborhoods have flourished, a dynamic coherence among core activities has emerged that strengthens community life. The study and application of the Word of God becomes a pervasive habit, devotional gatherings generate a spirit of communal worship that permeates collective endeavors, and classes for the spiritual and moral education of children and junior youth strengthen the roots of the neighborhood.
Fire and Snow is a two week training program designed for teams and individuals to gain experience working in a neighbourhood community setting and learn how to effectively channel their capabilities of service through methods and activities of the institute - devotional gatherings, the spiritual education of children, the spiritual empowerment of junior youth and tutoring study circles.
